Cleverly assembled was the motto of the 2023 young carpenters competition «Schreinerchance». With the watch win - der, I turned these two ideas into a func - tional art object. I wanted to create a connection between the watch and the wood by reflecting the fine detail and perfection of a watch movement in the design. This led to a plug-in outer con - struction with corners where three woo - den strips fit together like gears. The mechanics can also be found inside the case. The off-center mounting on the drive wheels brings the model hand to life.
